Pueblo Mayor appoints Steven “Chris” Noeller as Acting Chief of Police
PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Friday, Pueblo Mayor Nick Gradisar announced Steven "Chris" Noeller as the newly appointed Acting Chief of Police for the City of Pueblo.
This came after Police Chief Davenport announced his retirement. Davenport spent 32 years with the Pueblo Police Department and became the Chief of Police in 2017.
Noeller has served as Deputy Chief of Police since November 2017, and June marks 25 years with the Pueblo Police Department.
“Deputy Chief Noeller already assumes the duties of Acting Chief of Police in Chief Davenport’s absence and does a great job,” says Mayor Gradisar. “I am confident this appointment will allow for a smooth transition as we begin the search for a New Chief of Police.”
Noeller began as a patrol officer in 1996, before moving up to detective, sergeant, SWAT officer, and Captain. Prior to working as an officer, Noeller served in the Navy Reserves.
As Acting Chief, Noeller will report directly to the Mayor. He will also oversee and direct all activities of the Pueblo Police Department.
