BLACK FOREST, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Parks and Wildlife is reminding people to be mindful of netting and fabrics that pose risks for wildlife.

Officers made the announcement Tuesday after they responded to a deer tangled in a sports net.

CPW had to tranquilize the deer with darts in order to safely untangle the frantic buck, which took almost an hour.

Officials say sport nets, fabrics and even hammocks can become issues for wildlife that gets caught in them. Halloween decorations can also be hazards, according to CPW.
