Highway 115 closed in both directions for the Wild Horse Fire
EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Highway 115 is closing in both directions for a few hours Monday due to firefighting operations for the Wild Horse Fire.
The Colorado State Patrol says the roads between mileposts 38 and 32 will be closed from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. as helicopters dump water on the wildfire.
Troopers say there will be no local detour. Travelers during the closures should use Interstate 25 through Pueblo.
The Wild Horse Fire had reportedly burned 580 acres as of Monday morning. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
