Colorado’s COVID-19 exposure app delayed

DENVER - The release of a mobile application that would notify Colorado residents if they were close to a person who tested positive for COVID-19 has been delayed for state officials to work with Google and Apple.

The Denver Post reported that Democratic Gov. Jared Polis said at the beginning of September that the Exposure Notification Express application would be available by the end of the month.

It is now unclear when the app will be available for use.

Officials say anyone who tests positive would be given a code to enter into the app, and those who were within six feet of that person for 10 minutes would be notified of potential exposure.
