Sunday last day for “huge” pop-up kid’s consignment sale

Just Between Friends kids consignment sale at the Colorado Springs Event Center

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - One local charity is providing a saving grace for families hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic through a massive pop-up children's consignment sale.

Sunday is the last day to shop at the "Huge Kid's Sale," organized by Just Between Friends Colorado Springs at the Colorado Springs Event Center on Palmer Park Boulevard.

Just Between Friends has organized its semi-annual consignment sale here in Colorado Springs for more than a decade, offering low prices on second-hand items from clothes, to books and toys. The sale also provides families the chance to sell things they don't need and make a profit.

"Our average consignor usually makes $350 to $400. Right now they're already sitting at 600," Laura Staggs with Just Between Friends told KRDO Saturday. "it's fantastic that they're making such good money."

"I think that they should continue this," shopper Amir Alvaraldo told us. "I know it's not just me who appreciates this. People come here and they leave very happy."

Everything inside the Event Center will be 75 percent off on Sunday. The final day hours are 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Just Between Friends is not accepting new items for sale right now. However, the organization plans to hold another sale in April.
