PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Pueblo School District 70 says one of its schools will close for a day after an individual tested positive for COVID-19.

North Mesa Elementary will be closed on Monday, August 24th, for a deep cleaning of the premises. A spokesperson for D70 said students will do online learning with staff working remotely as the investigation continues.

The district is expecting the school to reopen Tuesday when D70's COVID Response Team will likely finish its investigation.
