Colorado Springs man convicted for 9 robberies in 2018
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A Colorado Springs man was sentenced on July 28 to 74 years in the Colorado Department of Corrections after a series of armed robberies in 2018.
The Colorado Springs Police Department says 42-year-old Joshua Lee Youngblood was responsible for nine robberies between January and June in 2018.
He robbed several businesses including restaurants, pharmacies and a hotel. Police say he would point a handgun at victims and then flee the area on a motorcycle with stolen cash and controlled narcotics.
Youngblood was arrested on August 18 of 2018 and was in possession of a handgun and robbery notes. Detectives say they found enough evidence to successfully prosecute the violent offender.

- June 7th, 2018 – Walgreens, 7390 Rangewood Drive
- June 8th, 2018 – Domino’s Pizza, 7055 Lexington Drive
- June 9th, 2018 – Starbucks, 3104 West Colorado Avenue
- June 13th, 2018 – Safeway (pharmacy), 840 Village Center Drive
- June 27th, 2018 – Safeway (pharmacy), 6520 South Academy Boulevard
