Gannon Stauch’s life remembered through virtual memorial
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A memorial service hosted by Restoration Church was held Friday morning to remember the life of Gannon Stauch.
The 11-year-old was reported missing from his Lorson Ranch home in January. His stepmother, Letecia Stauch, was charged with his murder in March.
The in-person service was only open for family and close friends. However, the public was able to watch through a virtual livestream.

Gannon is described as always having a smile and helping others. His father, joining in memories of his son.
“He was an obvious joy to all those who knew him,” said Al Stauch.
Friday, neighbors rallied around the family, from both inside Restoration Church and online.
“I so wish we could be together, but that would have required a space like the Broadmoor Arena or even the Pepsi Center to gather as many people that were interested in this time," said Pastor Paul Aragon.
His murder left those in the community heartbroken.
“It’s like a dream, he’s going to be there when I wake up, but he’s always going to be there, in our thoughts and out memories," said Chris Lancaster, Royal Ranger Commander.
Both Gannon's grandmother and father expressed how much they miss him.
“As unexpectedly as Gannon came into this life, he left as unexpectedly, touching many lives along the way," Debra Pierce said.
"I wish my little angel was not in heaven, but here with us on this earth," Stauch said.
