Police investigating infant death at Colorado Springs Motel

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs police are investigating the death of an infant who passed away at a local motel Tuesday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the End Of Trail Motel at 4200 N Nevada Avenue shortly before 4 a.m. Tuesday. When officers arrived at the motel room to help with medical assistance, they walked in to find the parents starting CPR and noted the infant was making a "wheezing sound."

Medical personnel arrived minutes later and determined the child was dead.

The Crimes Against Children Unit has also responded and has taken over the investigation. As of Tuesday morning, no arrests have been made.
