Tracking cooldown, rain & snow!

Tracking...
KRDO

TODAY: We start around ten degrees cooler than yesterday morning, sitting in the 40's in most areas. Our highs will only be in the 40's and 50's - brrr! We're tracking scattered rain showers in our lower-lying areas and accumulative snow across mountain passes (mainly areas over 10,000 feet).

EXTENDED: The snow level could drop to 8,000 feet or even lower overnight, but we won't see much moisture in the Pikes Peak Region at that point, so you can expect a dusting on high-elevation grassy surfaces at most. High Country snow wraps up by Thursday. Expect gusty 30-50 MPH winds on the back end of this cold front. Highs rebound back to the 50s and 60s Thursday and then 60's and 70's this weekend, as the low pressure system retreats north. Our overnight lows, however, stay quite cold in the 20's and 30's through Saturday morning.
