KRDO Newschannel 13 reporter involved in serious crash in Pueblo
PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) - KRDO Newschannel 13 reporter Chase Golightly was involved in a serious crash on the north side of Pueblo.
The crash happened just after 10 p.m. Thursday on Cesar Chavez Hwy., just west of Bonforte Blvd. Golightly was the only person in the marked news vehicle when Pueblo Police say a silver SUV crossed the median and hit him.
Golightly was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries, and was released. The other driver involved is still in the hospital with serious injuries. Investigators believe speed and alcohol are factors in this crash.
Police said Tuesday that the other driver, identified as William Davey, was still in the hospital. He's facing at least a charge for driving under the influence, and police said other charges are possible.
Cesar Chavez Hwy. was closed between Jerry Murphy Rd. and Bonforte Blvd. for about four hours Friday morning.
