13-year-old dies after crash into power station in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The 13-year-old who was sent to the hospital after a crash into a electrical power substation last week has died from his injuries, police reported on Monday.

The teen was driving a sedan when it crashed into the power station at LaSalle Street and N. Academy Boulevard last Monday. Police said in an update that he died the next day.

Police said that additional juveniles in the car were identified, but it's not clear if they're facing charges.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
