Colorado Springs police investigate two overnight robberies

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department is investigating two overnight robberies in the northeast side of the city.

Officers with the Stetson Hills Division were first dispatched around 2:30 a.m. to the 3200 block of Austin Bluffs Parkway for a reported business robbery.

Police say three male suspects showed their weapons and took an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise. Officers checked the area for suspects but found none.

The second robbery happened just after 4 a.m. near the 4300 block of South Carefree Circle, according to CSPD.

Officers say two male suspects entered a store, showed their weapons, and took an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise. Officers were not able to find any suspects in the area.

CSPD has not commented on whether the two robberies are related. This is an ongoing investigation.
