Colorado Springs worship leader, contestant on American Idol, makes it to the top 20
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- DeWayne Crocker Jr., a worship leader at a Colorado Springs church, is known for his voice. So much so that he was invited to audition for American Idol and earned a spot in the competition.
He made his first appearance on the show back in February. Now, he's in the top 20 contestants.
Originally from Pensacola, Florida, Crocker works in Colorado Springs at Emmanual Baptist Church -- when he's not singing on American Idol, that is.
This Sunday, the top 20 performers will perform from their homes.
