Two arrested in a series of burglaries in Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Two men are under arrest after a series of burglaries at several businesses in Colorado Springs.
The five burglaries happened during the month of October. According to police, Sean Haley and Stephen Padilla would break into the stores after normal hours and get away with Colorado Lottery scratch tickets, cash, and cigarettes.
After gathering photos of the suspects and their vehicles, an officer spotted one of the suspects on November 1st. Sean Haley was then taken into custody on unrelated warrants.
After further investigation, police were able to link Haley to those five burglaries and also led them to arrest Stephen Padilla.
Haley and Padilla were charged with five counts of Second Degree Burglary and two counts of Money Laundering. Haley was also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance.
