El Paso County health officials warn of norovirus outbreak

Large viral outbreaks are happening across Colorado, it's prompted county health officials to be on alert.

Mesa County Valley District 51 in Grand Junction canceled class at all schools for the rest of the week for what's believed to be the norovirus.

But the contagious virus is affecting us closer to home, the Air Force Academy has confirmed 400 cadets have had norovirus symptoms since late October.

The highly contagious norovirus is more commonly known as the stomach flu and can produce vomiting and diarrhea symptoms.
