Major crash shuts down SB I-25 near Fountain
UPDATE: The interstate has reopened between Exits 132 and 128 southbound.
The Colorado Department of Transportation reported shortly before 9:30 p.m. that the road had reopened.

Previous story:
A multi-car crash has shut down the southbound side of I-25 just south of Fountain.
It happened just before 7 p.m. Monday past Exit 128 and involved numerous vehicles.

The State Patrol quickly shut down the southbound side while evaluating all those injured.
It's unclear when the interstate will reopen. Traffic was already backed up to Fountain and was being detoured off the interstate shortly before 7 p.m.
