Strong storms possible around Colorado Springs before Labor Day weekend

TODAY: Our weather will be quiet for the first half of Friday, but then things become fairly active following lunchtime.

Storms move into the Pikes Peak Region around 2 p.m. and will then drop southeast. The storms will move off toward Pueblo and the SE corner of the state between 3 and 9 p.m. A severe storm or two is possible, especially on the Palmer Divide and places south of Colorado Springs. Highs today will be cooler and will warm to the low and upper 80s with 70s in the mountains.

TONIGHT: A few storms linger over the Plains through 9 p.m., then we dry out and get into some slow clearing through tonight. Lows will be in the 40s and 50s.

EXTENDED: Saturday brings isolated showers and storms before hot and dry weather move in for Sunday and Labor Day.
