Labor Day Weekend celebrations in Colorado Springs and across the state

Wondering what to do this Labor Day Weekend? Don’t know where to start? We’ve compiled a list of festivals, parades, and events in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas to keep you occupied from Thursday through Labor Day Monday.

Labor Day Lift Off in Colorado Springs — Saturday, Sunday, Monday
Held in Memorial Park, this balloon festival is split into morning and evening sessions Saturday and Sunday, plus one morning session on Monday. It’s worth getting up early when doors open at 5:30 a.m. to catch the 7 a.m. sunrise lift-off. Aside from balloon rides, entertainment includes air shows, concerts, a mimosa and beer garden — open morning and evening– and donut eating contests. Best of all, admission is free.

Monument Indie Fest in Colorado Springs — Saturday & Sunday
The Western Museum of Mining and Industry is hosting two days of indie music at Monument Indie Fest. Don’t let the name fool you, this festival is held at the museum’s location in Colorado Springs. There will be live music, vendors, food trucks, and a kids zone. Children under 12 are free (one per paid adult).

Stork Fest in Colorado Springs — Saturday
Held on the grounds of Glen Eyrie Castle, this one-day festival and fundraising event features a color run, concert, laser light show, hot air balloon rides, and plenty of kid-friendly activities. 100% of the ticket proceeds go to pro-life organizations.

Commonwheel Artists Labor Day Art Festival in Manitou Springs — Saturday, Sunday, Monday
This three-day arts and live music festival celebrates a wide range of musical genres from Celtic and tribal belly dancing to Brazilian jazz and Americana. Kids will be entertained by face painting, bubbles, and balloon animal artists.

Taste of Colorado in Denver — Saturday, Sunday, Monday
This festival boasts of being the largest free admission food and music festival in Colorado. It offers over 50 food vendors, 175 marketplace vendors, a kids zone with a children’s entertainment stage, and a larger main stage featuring over 25 national and regional musical acts.

Fountain Valley Fall Festival & Parade in Fountain — Sunday & Monday
The 50th Annual Fountain Fall festival kicks off with the Fountain Fire Department’s annual Dinner and Dance on Sunday. Monday’s parade begins at 10 a.m. The day continues with games, music, food, and vendors.

PoloFest in Sedalia — Saturday
The third annual one-day event describes itself as the best of polo and great musical talents. Yes, that’s polo, as in horses and long croquet sticks. This year’s headliners are Kygo and Sofi Tukker, with Chelsea Cutler and Zach Heckendorf.

Rocky Mountain Beer Festival in Boulder — Monday
The fourth annual Rocky Mountain Beer Festival is coming to Boulder on Monday to showcasing local and regional breweries and their beers, live music performances, lawn games, and food.

Windsor Harvest Festival in Windsor — Saturday, Sunday, Monday
If you’re looking for a good, old-fashioned country harvest festival, this might be exactly what you’re looking for. With a parade, craft vendors, garden show, concert, and hot-air balloons, the 98th annual Windsor Harvest Festival is an unpretentious family-friendly event.

Seven Peaks Festival in Buena Vista — Friday, Saturday, Sunday
This three-day country music festival features Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, and Travis Tritt as headliners. The festival offers campsites for purchase and connections to a number of outdoor adventure outfits.

Vail Jazz Festival — Now through Monday
The 25th Annual Vail Jazz Festival is a 10-week affair featuring swing, funk, Brazilian, and Gypsy Jazz artists. Labor Day Monday is the last day of the festival that claims to attract the best talent in the jazz world.
