3 300-foot stacks demolished in Pueblo for proposed rail mill
The Pueblo Police Department shared video of three battery stacks on EVRAZ property being demolished Saturday morning to make way for a proposed rail mill.
Weeks of careful planning went into the demolition, according to Pueblo police; and the three stacks fell to the ground with loud booms but no problems.
EVRAZ is planning on a new rail mill for its Rocky Mountain Steel mill property. The company announced it was looking into a new mill last year.
A final decision won’t be made until December, but preparations are already underway to clear the site near the coke building.
