Warmer, few more afternoon storms – 8/6/19
TODAY: We have dry skies in the forecast through the mid-afternoon with increasing clouds and rain chances. A stray shower is possible as early as 2-3PM with increasing chances for storms in the Pikes Peak Region through the evening drive. Those drop south and southeast following that. Severe weather is not expected but look for some pockets of heavier rain and lightning. Highs will be in the 80s and 90s today with temps near 100 over the far plains.
TONIGHT: Storms move out of Southern Colorado by 9PM and we are left with partly cloudy to mostly clear dry skies. Lows cool to the 50s and 60s.
EXTENDED: The rest of the week looks to bring continued rain and storms along with cooler highs in the mid to upper 80s. The rainiest days will be Wednesday and Friday before dry skies move in on Monday afternoon. By then we warm up again.
