Friday: Not as stormy, less heat – 8/2/19

TODAY: We will see sunshine and a few passing clouds during the afternoon with chances for spotty showers and storms over the southern mountains during lunchtime. Those become more widespread and drop south and southeast through the evening drive. Severe weather is not expected but we could see some pockets of moderate rain and lightning. Highs today will be in the 80s and 90s, so slightly cooler than yesterday. The mountains will hit the 70s.

TONIGHT: Lows cool to the 50s and 60s under a partly cloudy to mostly clear sky. Any storms move out by 9-10pm at the latest.

EXTENDED: Off and on showers and storms are in the forecast through Wednesday of next week. The weekend looks cooler with warmer temps by next Thursday.
