Fatal shooting under investigation southeast of Colorado Springs

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting in a neighborhood southeast of the Colorado Springs Airport.

Law enforcement was dispatched at 4:28 p.m. and found a deceased adult male on the scene. All parties are cooperating as deputies question people at the scene.

Few details have been released, but we know the shooting happened Wednesday in the 3900 block of Shining Star Drive.

Deputies haven’t said how many victims are involved or if a suspect is in custody.

Another fatal shooting happened at the same address on Sept. 5, 2017. Jack Cole, 41, was killed in the 2017 shooting.
