08/01/19 Severe weather update

Strong thunderstorms still located in NE El Paso County moving east at about 10-15mph. The severe thunderstorm warning associated with that line of storms has expired, although the storm is still dropping heavy rainfall across HWY 24. Strong winds and frequent lightning are also being produced, pea-sized hail possible.

Rain showers and weak thunderstorms likely in Colorado Springs this evening, but the severe weather threat will come to an end after 8pm.
