Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely this evening across I-25 and HWY 50 with the potential for a few storms to be severe. The Biggest concerns will be wind gusts over 50mph, frequent lightning, heavy downpours, and hail. After 10 pm most of the thunderstorms will be in the eastern Colorado plains and off into Kansas. Turning partly cloudy for Colorado Springs with temperatures down to 59 degrees.

Friday: Starting off the morning partly cloudy, but rather quickly we’ll see increasing cloud coverage. Temperatures into the mid-80’s by early afternoon. Afternoon thunderstorms are again likely.

Extended: This trend of afternoon showers and thunderstorms will continue through the weekend and into next week. Temperatures hovering right around average for most locations over the next 5 days. Mid-80’s in El Paso County and low 90’s across HWY 50.
