14 arrested for drug trafficking out of Colorado Springs nightclubs
Fourteen people are facing criminal charges for their alleged involvement in a drug trafficking ring that spread through downtown Colorado Springs and El Paso County.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced the arrests Monday and said law enforcement also seized nearly 100 pounds of drugs — including meth, heroin, cocaine and fentanyl — firearms, and cash.
The investigation started in 2018 when the Colorado Springs Metro Vice, Narcotics and Intelligence Division started looking into reports of people dealing drugs to customers at “various bars and nightclubs in downtown Colorado Springs and unincorporated El Paso County.” The U.S. Attorney’s Office didn’t identify the nightclubs or bars.
The FBI joined in the investigation, and law enforcement started arresting suspects from mid-2018 to early 2019.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office didn’t give the names of all 14 suspects, but provided the names of eight suspects. We’re working on getting more information on the other people arrested.
Those facing charges include:
Jesse Santiago Anaya Missael Leyva Castro Cristian Diaz De Leon Beltran Maria Ruiz Del Carmen Gutierrez Fabian Perales Jeff Skelton Octavio Solis-Garcia Daniel James Ingham
