Man dies after 85-foot fall at Red Rock Canyon Open Space
An adult male died Tuesday after falling at Red Rocks Canyon Open Space, said CSPD.
The man reportedly stumbled and fell from an approximately 85-foot precipice after hiking past a boundary fence. Police said that the man was in a restricted area.
According to Sgt. Cummings of CSPD, the man was alone and without climbing gear. He was between 40 and 50 years-old.
Law enforcement responded to the scene at approximately 12:40 p.m. and believe it to be an accidental fall.

Today at 12:40PM, CSPD Officers responded to the area of Red Rocks Open Space for a person falling from the rocks. Upon arrival they located a deceased adult male. This appears to be an accidental fall. Additional information will be posted on the CSPD blotter shortly.
