Storms expected for Southern Colorado – 7/8/19

TODAY: A mix of clouds and sun is in the forecast for Southern Colorado today. Storms pop up along and west of I-25 for lunchtime with increasing chances through the mid-afternoon. The biggest threats will be for locally heavy rainfall and lightning. Hail and stronger winds aren’t out of the question closer to the Kansas border. Highs today will be in the 70s and 80s, with 90s over the Plains.

TONIGHT: Drying and clearing skies move in with lows cooling to the 40s and 50s.

EXTENDED: The rest of the week brings a mix of weather. We see dry skies and warmer temps for Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Other days bring isolated to scattered showers with slightly cooler highs.
