Kitten thrown from truck in Colorado Springs gets forever home

The kitten that was thrown from a truck in Colorado Springs last week is now recovering at his new fur-ever home.

Kim Jones saw our story last Wednesday and contacted KRDO right away to adopt the little guy. Jones picked Peder up from the vet yesterday and says he’s adjusting well.

Jones told us Peder still has a small scab over one of his eyes, but has otherwise recovered.

A witness saw someone throw the kitten out the window of a white pickup truck on Woodmen Road around 8:30 last Tuesday. The animal suffered minor scrapes and bruises. The driver sped off, and the kitten was found wandering outside a nearby house. It’s unclear if a suspect has been found.

Anyone with information about the driver of the pickup truck should contact the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.
