AFA Prep Student remains recovered from Rocky Mountain National Park

Update: The Air Force Academy confirmed on Sunday the human remains found in Rocky Mountain Park were those of Micah Tice.

Previous Story:

Crews at Rocky Mountain National Park have recovered, what they believe to be, the remains of Micah Tice.

On Thursday, July 4, a private search party found items believed have belonged to Tice below tree line in the Boulder Brook area of the park after the heavy winter and spring snow melted.

Crews successfully recovered the remains and on Friday the remains were taken to the Larimer County Coroner’s office for an autopsy and positive identification.

Tice had been missing since November 2018. Rescuers worked for weeks to find Tice before suspending the search in December.
