35-year-old man dies following shooting in Colorado Springs

A 35-year-old man is dead following a shooting in Colorado Springs Wednesday night.

Police responded to a home in the 3400 block of Springnite Drive for a reported shooting just before 7:00 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a 35-year-old man who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. At this time we do not know the name of the victim.

Officers found 56-year-old Michael Mills of Colorado Springs inside the home and arrested him for second-degree murder.

Mills was booked into the El Paso County Jail.
