Today: Partly cloudy skies with increasing cloud coverage through the morning and afternoon. Those clouds will help cap our high temperatures slightly below average today, in the mid-70’s for El Paso County, with mid-80’s possible across HWY 50. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are likely today with the potential for a few storms to be severe. The main concerns will be hail, strong wind gusts, heavy downpours and lightning. Northern El Paso County is favored for severe weather between 1pm-4pm. Precipitation chances diminish after 8pm.

Sunday: Slightly warmer by early afternoon, reaching into the low 80’s for Colorado Springs. Those classic afternoon thunderstorms are again likely.
