Free Slurpees for Colorado Springs children doing good deeds this summer

Children in Colorado Springs could get a reward from local police officers for good behavior this summer.

7-Eleven has made a deal with CSPD to reward children who lend a helping hand this summer. It’s called Operation Chill.

The nationwide convenience store chain has given more than a million free Slurpee coupons to police departments all across the country – and thousands have landed here in the Springs for CSPD officers to hand out.

If a child is spotted doing a good deed or being safe, they’ll get a Slurpee coupon.

Operation Chill is now in it’s 23rd year running, with more than 1,000 police departments involved across the United States and Canada.
