UPDATE: Wanted suspect in El Paso County caught
UPDATE Tuesday: The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says the wanted suspect in connection with a stolen trailer is now in custody.
Nathaniel Buchmann reportedly escaped custody and led a manhunt for the entire day Monday. Tuesday, the sheriff’s office said he was taken into custody thanks to the help of the Department of Corrections and the Colorado Springs Police Department.

El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who is believed to be armed and dangerous.
Deputies searched in the area of Cortez Dr. and Frontier Dr. Monday morning for 28-year-old Nathaniel Buchmann. Buchmann may be wearing handcuffs after he escaped custody.
Buchmann is described as a White male, 6’6″, thin build and was last seen wearing a light blue jacket with a Colorado hoodie and jeans.
He is wanted on multiple outstanding warrants for larceny and parole violation. Buchmann is also a suspect along with two others in the theft of a trailer Monday morning.
No one is allowed to enter or exit the area of Cortez Dr. and Frontier Dr.
Residents who are already in the area are asked to stay indoors. Authorities are telling people in the area to lock their doors and to stay away from windows.
Please report any suspicious people to the sheriff’s office.
