Spotty storms today, most south of Hwy 50 – 6/27/19

TODAY: Sunny skies will grace Colorado for the first half of Thursday before a few showers and storms move in for the afternoon. Most of these develop after 1PM, and the heaviest will remain south of Highway 50. Locally heavy rain is possible, but that’s about it. All will likely stay below severe limits. Highs warm to the 80s and 90s today, with 100s over the plains.

TONIGHT: Rain ends and we are left with partly cloudy to mostly clear skies. Temperatures cool to the 50s and 60s tonight.

EXTENDED: Hot and mainly dry skies remain for Friday before we increase the rain and storm chances through Saturday and Sunday. Some relief from the heat will be felt on Sunday afternoon as our temps settle back to the 70s and 80s. Some 90s are still likely out east.
