Shots fired overnight in northeast Colorado Springs

Officers were called to the 5000 block of El Camino Drive late Wednesday night due to reports of shots being fired.

Upon arrival, officers found numerous shell casings. After speaking with several witnesses, it was determined that two to three vehicles were exchanging gunfire while traveling northbound on El Camino Drive.

There were no reported injuries as a result of the shots fired.

There was a minor hit-and-run traffic accident between one of the suspect vehicles and a vehicle not involved in the incident.
