Elderly man dies waiting in traffic near Fairplay
An 86-year-old man died Thursday while parked in a traffic line on Highway 285 near Fairplay.
The Park County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the man passed away due to natural causes while sitting in line on the highway.
Construction is taking place on a 20-mile section of Hwy 285 near Fairplay, and it’s likely that caused the traffic delay the man was waiting on.
The man’s identity hasn’t been released.
