Bikers call 26th Annual Bike to Work Day a big success

Bikers were out in full force to support bicycling in the community and grab some free breakfast along the way for Bike To Work Day. The Pikes Peak Greenway Trail was the hotspot for businesses and people enjoying the festivities.

Mild temperatures and light winds made for the perfect conditions to bike to work. The whole goal of the event is to promote being active while also highlighting local businesses. Pancakes, donuts, fruits, yogurt, and coffee were available at different locations around the city.

Everyone we spoke to loved the idea of encouraging people to get outside and soak in some of the trails Colorado Springs has to offer. If you missed Wednesday’s event, you’ll have to wait till next year for the free food, but remember you can bike to work any day you want.
