Colorado Springs woman arrested for striking ex with handgun

A woman is charged with attempted homicide after Colorado Springs Police say she struck her ex-girlfriend with a handgun.

Investigators say a woman was looking for her dog when she discovered her ex-girlfriend, 45-year-old Vanessa Bobian, had taken the dog.

When the woman confronted Bobian at an apartment complex on La Salle St., Bobian fired a shot at her.

When the victim tried to leave, investigators say Bobian entered the victim’s vehicle and struck her in the head several times with the handgun. The victim was able to drive to a convenience store on Platte Ave., and call for help.

Bobian was arrested a short time later and now faces charges of attempted homicide and first-degree assault. At this time the victim’s condition is unknown.
