Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms possible north of El Paso County. Severe thunderstorms are likely across I-70 and into Kit Carson County with the potential to produce hail, strong wind gusts, and lightning. For much of SE Colorado, our main weather story will be the wind. A strong cold front is currently pushing into Northern Colorado, which will kick up wind gusts to 35-40mph overnight.

Sunday: Winds stay breezy during the morning hours then calm down in the afternoon. Temperatures will be significantly cooler, staying in the 50’s for Colorado Springs under partly/mostly cloudy skies. A few scattered afternoon showers are possible, but the severity of any storms will be relatively low.

Extended: A slight warming trend will start up on Monday, with temperatures back into the 60’s and 70’s. Scattered afternoon thunderstorms are again likely through at least Wednesday.
