18-year-old dies in car crash in east Colorado Springs

An 18-year-old man was killed in a single-car crash Thursday night.

Police responded to the intersection of Peterson Rd. and Highland Vista, just south of Sand Creek High School, to investigate the crash.

It was indicated that the vehicle, which was driven by Sebastian Warren, was traveling northbound on Peterson Rd. at a high rate of speed when it veered off the road crashing into the east curb-line.

The late model Buick struck a cement fence pillar then traveled through two backyards before coming to a rest.

Warren died as a result of the crash. Alcohol and drugs are not considered factors at this time.

The investigation is ongoing. This is the 18th traffic fatality in the City of Colorado Springs this year.
