Tonight: Rain showers and weak thunderstorms are continuing to move into far Southern Colorado. The Biggest concerns with the storms now are the heavy downpours. A Flood Advisory is in effect for Otero and Crowley Counties till 9pm as storms have dropped approximately two inches of rain in the area. Small creeks and streams could see minor flooding. The Flash Flood Warning in Huerfano and Costilla Counties has expired but the Flash Flood Watch continues till 9pm.

Tonight: Gradual clearing with temperatures into the low 50’s for El Paso County with light winds.

Thursday: Morning sunshine will warm us up quickly into the high 70’s by early afternoon. Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms will develop but the coverage and severity of the storms will be relatively minimal. Small hail, gusty winds and lightning will again be possible out of the strongest of these storms.

Extended: Friday will be slightly warmer again with afternoon thunderstorm chances. Temperatures into the high 70’s to low 80’s for Colorado Springs. We’ve been keeping a close eye on Saturday, and as of now it seems like the most likely day for Colorado Springs to stay dry during the afternoon.
