Today: Mostly cloudy and cooler for our Tuesday. Temperatures staying in the 50’s for the majority of the day. Rain/T-storms will get started for El Paso County by late morning and continue through the early evening hours. The severity of the storms this afternoon will be low, with potential hail sizes less than .5″ diameter. Outflow wind gusts associated with the thunderstorms will be at maximum 45mph. Storms will stay north of Highway 50 today.
Tonight: Rain chances diminish overnight with temperatures to about 39 degrees.
Wednesday: Similar to today, temperatures to the mid-50’s with mostly cloudy skies and afternoon thunderstorm chances. Severe thunderstorms are possible in Kit-Carson and Cheyenne Counties.
Extended: This pattern of scattered afternoon thunderstorms will continue through Friday with a slight warming trend. Temperatures for Colorado Springs back into the 70’s by Saturday.
