05/27/19 Forecast Discussion
Today: Mostly sunny skies and warming into the mid-70’s by noon in Colorado Springs. Winds will be our main weather story today with gusts to 35mph in El Paso County. Stronger winds in the forecast for the Eastern plains, gusts to 45mph in Lamar and Burlington. Can’t rule out a stray rain shower in Douglas county, if anything it’ll be short-lived and not severe. Winds will calm down after 8pm for Colorado Springs but remain breezy out East.
Tomorrow: Much cooler with rain chances starting by late morning. High temperatures to about 60 degrees. Remaining mostly cloudy through much of the day.
Extended: Slight warming trend through mid-week with temperatures returning to seasonal averages. Scattered afternoon thunderstorms will be the name of the game through Friday.
