Victim identified in fatal crash on Union in Colorado Springs

Police responded to a fatal single-car rollover crash on southbound Union just south of Monterey Monday morning.

The driver was ejected from the car and died on the scene. Tuesday, the victim was identified as 27-year-old Austin Palmer.

Excessive speed was determined to be a factor in the crash and Palmer was not wearing a seatbelt. The investigation is ongoing.

This is the 16th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs this year.
