Castle Rock man dies after motorcycle crash in Black Forest

The Colorado State Patrol says a 43-year-old man from Castle Rock was killed after a crash this past Mother’s Day, when he lost control of his motorcycle in Black Forest.

CSP issued the report Tuesday saying that Jack Sage was driving south on Highway 83 near Benet Lane when he “rapidly decelerated and lost control.” (MAP)

Sage was thrown from the bike when it went down to the pavement and flipped.

Investigators say Sage wasn’t wearing a helmet and suffered life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Penrose Hospital but later died from his injuries. A family member confirms to KRDO that Sage died the same day of the crash.

Troopers say alcohol and excessive speed aren’t being considered factors, but they’re asking for any witnesses to call 719-635-0385.
