Suspect arrested in shooting at Old Colorado City Taco Bell
Detectives were able to identify the man accused of shooting at a man in his vehicle at the Taco Bell in west Colorado Springs last Wednesday.
The shooting happened around 8 p.m. near 31st Street and Colorado Ave. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says witnesses reported that a suspect fired about “5-6 shots at the victim.”
Investigators say the shooter ran away on foot toward Midland Trail and went to the lobby of a motel near 2600 Ore Mill Road. El Paso County deputies started searching the motel but couldn’t find him.
Detectives were able to identify the alleged shooter as Bradford Coleman, 25. He was arrested Wednesday and booked into jail on charges of attempted first-degree murder, illegal discharge of a firearm, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, menacing, and reckless endangerment.
The victim hasn’t been identified, and their current condition wasn’t made clear by the sheriff’s office.

Gunfire threw a scare Wednesday night into many customers of the Taco Bell restaurant at 31st Street and Colorado Avenue on the west side of Colorado Springs.
Around 8 p.m., witnesses reported someone firing a gun in the rear of the restaurant’s parking lot.
Colorado Springs police officers and El Paso County sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene, sealed off the area and questioned witnesses.
No one was hurt in the incident, authorities said, as they investigated on the scene for several hours.
Authorities said they’re trying to identify a suspect and determine a motive for the gunfire; they didn’t say how many shots were fired, or in which direction.
