Documents detail explicit texts between AFA instructor, undercover investigator

We’re getting a first look at the graphic text messages, between an Air Force Academy ethics teacher and an undercover Arapahoe County investigator posing as a 14-year-old girl.

The investigator first came in contact with Paul Sikkema on a chat website, using the name “Jenny.”

But the arrest papers say the conversation quickly moved to text messages. Most of it is too explicit to publish here, but much of it explicitly revolves around sex.

Sikkema is quoted in the documents as saying:

“Into older guys?” “Are you a virgin?” “Now I really wanna come up and see you” “Your body is so sexy” “I can get in a lot of trouble by talking to you”

The 29-year-old described the sex acts he wanted to perform and even asked for an address so he could visit the teen.

Sikkema is an Air Force captain who joined the teaching staff back in 2017 as an instructor in the philosophy department.

His bond is set at $7,500 Arapahoe County jail, though it’s unclear whether he is still in jail. He’s due back in court next week.
