Showers and storms today – 4/3/19

TODAY: We will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny for the first part of the afternoon before active weather moves in. Clouds fill in following noon and by that point in the day, we could see a few showers around the Palmer Divide, Teller County and south of Highway 50. They increase in coverage following 2PM today and will likely produce lightning and a little bit of small hail. Places in Baca County will have the chace for a strong to low end severe storm today. Highs will be in the 50s and 60s and will cool through the afternoon.

TONIGHT: Showers and storms clear out by 9PM at the latest and we will be left with dry, mostly cloudy skies tonight. Temperatures cool to the low 30s and upper 20s.

EXTENDED: We will be dry and mild tomorrow before a few more showers and rumbles of thunder move in on Friday and Saturday. Following that, we dry out and warm up into next week. Highs will be back in the 60s and 70s under sunshine.
