Pueblo police search for armed carjacking suspects

Pueblo police officers are looking for an armed man involved in a carjacking incident that happened Tuesday afternoon in northern Pueblo.

Police were called to the Shell station at 1812 W U.S. Highway 50 in regards to a carjacking.

After further investigation, it was revealed that an employee from Pueblo Toyota was at the station filling up when a man carrying a gun approached him and demanded the keys.

The man then got into the driver’s seat and a second man got in the passenger’s side. The men drove southbound on Morris Ave.

The vehicle was later recovered, unoccupied, in the 800 block of Pueblo Blvd. next to the Arkansas River.

It was later determined that the men arrived at the Shell station in a stolen 1998 Honda Civic. The vehicle was recovered and given back to the owner.

The suspects are described as 5’7″ in height. One of the suspects had a goatee. The man pictured below is the suspect who entered the passenger side of the Toyota Corolla.

The firearm displayed by the first suspect is described as a black semi-automatic handgun.
